Wave Your Magic Wand – Swoosh!

On our drive into Philadelphia to see Backyardigans … a really good children’s show at the Merriam Theater, I was busy “waving my magic wand” to play a quick game of Make Pretend in the car. There we were — Ryan, 2 1/2, Bailey, 8 and Molly, 5 with Amy (um, 38) pretending to be all kinds of fun “things” while taking this drive into the city.

The reason this game of make believe is appearing in today’s KIDFUN is because, there we were sitting in the show, when one of the characters did the same thing — waved a wand and MAGICALLY converted the stage into a Fairyland. I just loved that these three very special little girls in my life kind of looked at each other with a smile as if to say, “Hey, they’re playing OUR game!”

I know last week I talked about Sally’s Magic Kitchen. Seems like there’s a theme here … just always remember to bring along your magic wand. It can come in very handy to brighten an otherwise dull moment!
