PERSONALIZED PAVERS … HOME STYLE!

I was just thinking about the new Paver campaign for the wonderful SMITH PLAYGROUND AND PLAYHOUSE (a.k.a. SMITH The Kids’ Play Place in the Park) which is a free wonderland of joy for young children (under 10) in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia. I’m on their board and heard about the Paver program and I was thinking about putting Ryan’s name on it and, I’ll tell you officially, our next grandchild’s name who is due 1/11/11!!

Wouldn’t it be fun to have personalized pavers at your house? Your kids can determine what message or what name can be on each section of your sidewalk and, using chalk, design each section. They could write a name or, perhaps, draw a heart with a name inside. Anything they like! Maybe you’d even let them do it using water-based tempura paint, just so they know at the first rain it will wash away. It may be temporary but it could be lots of fun! Imagine the welcome your friends and neighbors will get if their names are painted on the sidewalk as they approach! They’d even be happy to see an abstract piece of art created by a young child … or a smiley face or rays of sun!

Have a great day! Sunny, I hope!

Heartiest congratulations on your next grandchild coming. What a super due date!! Adam was actually born on his due date. Enjoy Ryan! I like this KidFun idea! Can’t wait to get the chalk out in NC when 10 cousins get together in July.
