KIDFUN Gift Idea — Hats and More Hats!
Okay — it’s official! Holiday season has arrived. I’ll be suggesting a variety of creative, affordable KIDFUN-style gifts that I hope can be great alternatives for you.
Today it’s hats! I talk about hats a lot and how they are transforming, but I don’t think I’ve mentioned them as a great holiday present. You can find all kinds of hats at the dollar store or the costume section of a party store. In one gift your child can be a firefighter and sailor, a cowboy/cowgirl and … princess! Perhaps, a chef or a lady with a lovely feather hat!
It would be great if you could find a hat box to store them or get another box, the kind that has a top. Try wrapping the bottom and top separately so it still functions as a box. Stuff the hats in there, tie with a big ribbon and this gift can last for years, leading to hours of KIDFUN.
If your child doesn’t have a mirror at the right height, perhaps you can get an inexpensive full length mirror for his room so he can easily see how terrific he (or she) looks!
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

I gave my child a box of hats YEARS ago and she loved them. But I got them at thrift shops. They really have wonderful ones, so rather than buying new, try that!

Lynn — I agree totally. There are lots of great things for kids at thrift stores, especially with costume-potential. (I didn’t include it because some people don’t like to wear “used” hats. I know — what could be better than recycling!)
