1, 2, 3 …. GO!
Okay, indulge me! I think it’s so cool that my three year old granddaughter turns to me and says, “Okay, Grammy … Let’s Race! 1, 2, 3 … GO!” I mean, I didn’t have a grandmother I could say that to, did you?
No matter where we are … if there’s a little looming space ahead, we do it. We run. We play freeze. She shouts suddenly, “Stop!” (She loves that power.) And, then, “Go!” Last night, it was with her parents, Amy and Scott, and first Ryan and I ran out of a restaurant, California Pizza Kitchen, straight into the mall. Then we all ran IN the mall in a secluded aisle! I know we have to be safe but it’s so carefree, such fun and, well, I’m a little proud that I’m actually a grandmother having a chase with my granddaughter. Ryan is my first … I wonder how I’ll do when Hope and Joe have their first baby in January. Then, what about the next … and the next and … !!
Try it with your kids. “Ready?? “1, 2, 3 … GO!” (And, by the way, we’ve been doing this since Ryan was just getting those sea legs going, just a couple months after she started walking!)

Hi Sharla!
I’ll try this one. I think I’ll lose, but sounds like fun and worth trying it.
I have a list of 14 of your ideas to try with Aaron 6 and Samantha 5 — Rona and Erik’s kids in Scottsdale.
