Here’s an idea from KIDFUN reader Ellen Weisberg. While driving in the car (or train or bus), count letters — in alphabetical order — that you see on signs, license plates, trucks and more. After reading yesterday’s KIDFUN, Ellen sent this fun-filled memory from her childhood that she said took up so much time in the car “it kept us occupied on a long ride to the shore!” And since it’s Memorial Day and some of you may be vacationing, I thought it was perfect timing to share it. Plus, Ellen added, “We thought it was brilliant!” Maybe your family will, too.
