Tick-Tock – Timing the Fun AND the Clean Up!

I’m sitting here at my computer with a kitchen timer ticking away by my side. Honest! My best friend Francyn just said when she’s boiling eggs she carries her timer with her. So, I’m trying it. Hope it works! ….

But, the ticking reminded me of playing KIDFUN games while the kitchen timer is ticking away. You could try it with so many things. Like Book Balancing — can your kids walk around a room balancing a book on their heads for 60 seconds, listening to the timer? Maybe balancing paper plates. (No hands allowed, you know!)

Play any game setting the time. I have an idea — this is even better. Time cleaning up! “How long will it take you to put your toys away? I’ll set the timer! You have two minutes … ready, get set, go!” Now, THAT’s the best idea!
