Mirror, Mirror

I just read a wonderful blog — Mommy Ever After — that I highly recommend and in it, the writer, Becca, talked about her very feminine daughter. I thought about the magic of a mirror for putting on “make up” and also dressing up. It’s one thing to throw on a large scarf/boa around one’s neck, it’s another thing to gaze into a mirror at your most sophisticated reflection! How ’bout those big shoes — daddy’s or mommy’s? What fun to clomp around the floor and check out the different styles in a full-length mirror. I hope your kids have access to a full-length mirror. They are inexpensive and should be hung in their room so they can see themselves from those gigantic shoes all the way up to the feather on their hat! Imagination is a wonderful thing!
