Color Day

Pick a color — well, ask your child to — and then plan as many things as possible with that color for one day. Let’s say it’s RED Day. Okay, everyone has to find something to wear with red. How about food? What can the kids find to eat that’s red? (You can always add ketchup to a dish or enjoy a yummy red lollipop.)

Do artwork using red — pull out red construction paper, red ribbons, red crayons and paint. On a weekend or holiday day, this is an easy way to have fun together as a family that really gets everyone thinking about different colors all around them. Oh try this … have a RED Treasure Hunt! Looking for red cars while driving — I bet you could add many more RED tips for the day, too!
