A Friendly Ghost – Facey

 It’s the season for ghosts and this little trick will bring ONLY FRIENDLY ghosts  right into a dark space in your home. It could be your child’s bedroom — it could be a bathroom or closet, anywhere you can turn off the lights and have darkness.

All you need is a paper plate that you cut out two circle eyes and an upturned smile and then a flashlight. Go into a dark space with your child and hold the plate in your hand, high, pointing toward the ceiling and the turn on the flashlight and point it toward the plate, which we call “Facey”. You may have to experiment with the distance to hold the flashlight away from Facey so the very friendly ghost appears on the ceiling — or the wall, if you hold it off to the side. Make up a story about Facey but be sure it’s a sweet story about this new friend unless your child is pretty fearless!
