I was chatting with Steve Ross, a media personality in Philadelphia, who co-hosts a radio show with Jim Murray, called Remember When, and we got into a nostalgia discussion, not surprisingly. When I talked about KIDFUN he remembered something he used to do. Now, you might think I’m talking about sand here, but Steve recalled taking a stick and drawing in the … dirt. (That’s a new one for me!) But, I imagine, if you’re at a park with the kids, or your backyard, for that matter, and there’s an area with no grass, finding a twig or stick of some kind to draw pictures would be fun. You could even write your name or initials or lots of dots by poking around in the dirt.

Steve and Jim’s show is on The Big Talker, 1210 AM every Saturday night from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. If you live in areas beyond Philadelphia, that’s no problem.
