Write a Memory Letter …

Yesterday was one of those days I think we will always remember and I was just going to write a letter to Ryan and her mom and dad, when I realized this could be a sentimental KIDFUN tip! It’s easy — after doing something special, write your family (or just your child) a letter. You could even mail it, and not just e-mail! How much fun to get a “real” letter in the mailbox that is a Memory Letter.

Here’s what I’m going to write about, especially, now, that it’s so fresh in my mind. I’m going to write about going to see “Cinderella” on Broadway and share Ryan’s excitement when she sat in the theater. I’m going to add how we first drove past her dad’s new school and how cool it was for me to see just where he’d be working. Then, after the show we walked past Radio City Music Hall and saw a crowd. I asked everyone if we could just walk in to see what’s happening … And guess what? They were doing a live TV show last night — America’s Got Talent — AND, they had four tickets (free) for us! How cool! Of course, it meant six-year-old Ryan would be up really late and not get home until midnight, at least. But, it was an adventure. We love adventures! Before the show started, we had dinner at a wonderfully, touristy restaurant called “Ellen’s Stardust Diner.” Ryan is always glued to the singing servers who are so entertaining. See, there are enough wonderful memories, enough for a “memory letter” that really shows no matter how old you are, you can still have lots of KIDFUN!
