Soak up that Energy – Plan for it!

It’s funny I couldn’t think of a title for today’s KIDFUN because I really have so much to say about our trip to Disney World. We got home late yesterday and, it truly is a magical place. I mean imagine meeting ALL your heroes at one time. Ryan couldn’t believe she could hug (and get autographs) from all the princesses plus Minnie, Mickey and their pals, and Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, too! And, Sari (who is only 10 months old) flipped out for Pooh Bear and Tigger.

But, I have to say, Disney forgot something. I know, how crazy am I to suggest such a thing! But, after all, KIDFUN is in my heart and there just isn’t enough space for plain old running around, playing in a playground, NOT a highly themed one where they could get lost in a minute, something more simple with open space that just allows kids to soak up that energy. So today’s KIDFUN recommends that you always remember that need. At one point, Ryan and her daddy (Scott) just played chase when there was some open ground for running.

No matter what wonderful fantasy land you explore, remember kids need to be kids. They need to run, slide, swing, climb … anything to use up that bottled energy so all the other experiences can be totally joyful.
