Save It in a Box …

Don’t you wish you had a few of those very special things from when you were a child? “Things” is the operative word here — it could be anything, like that stuffed animal you couldn’t be without. I have mine and just showed Ryan. Funny mine was a bunny named Pinkie crocheted by my grandmother. Hers is a bunny, too. But there are so many other things … special keepsakes.

So, of course what I’m leading to is keep one box for each child and let her help you decide what should go in it. Plus, decorate the box together, with her name right there in the center. If I were smart and had one my Tony doll would have been in it … maybe those special barrettes I wore. Of course, you could fill a carton but that’s the point. Maybe keep one small but meaningful thing each year.

Your child will thank you one day, I’m sure!
