Cooking with … SNOW!

Okay, it’s not really cooking … but collecting fresh new snow in a plastic mixing bowl using a large wooden spoon comes pretty close to it. We must have been busy for a half hour or more “in” the house playing with snow and just the wonder of it all was fun in itself.

But, think of all the plastic utensils, bowls and containers you have in the kitchen! You could measure with measuring cups and spoons, put your “mixture” in all kinds of containers, even in plastic cups for “serving”. And, the topper of it all is to take one cup of snow and drop in red food color … put green in another … blue in another and so on.

Yep, snow is magical — inside and out! (And, I do apologize to all those families who don’t live in snowy climates and this KIDFUN tip won’t be very helpful. But, then again, you’re probably a lot warmer than we are!)
